One of the things that Dawn does for school is read chapter books aloud to the kids. Today Anna held her little sister, Adelaide, while Dawn read a couple chapters from, "My Friend Flicka".

Originally, today's picture was going to be a cute capture of Mary holding Addie:
However, Dawn had a different idea for today, March 12th, and she didn't even realize it. This project isn't just a chance for me to do really cool edited pictures or make things that visually "Pop". Yes, I love to do that kind of thing but this project is about catching the first year of a little girl's life, one frame and one day at a time. Little Adelaide will grow so much over this year. If you are reading things, thank you for following along on the ride. Yep, I couldn't help but catch the first bath.

Runny Nose 9/365
Well, Addie caught the head cold the rest of us had, she has a stuffy nose and a very low grade fever that we are watching very closely and have gotten medicinal advice from the doc about. Oh, and that is her pink guard dog!.

One week old now!
Mom decided to go to a get together in western Sedgwick County. Adelaide is in her sling here getting ready to load up and tag along with mom. That's the way mom does it, baby goes with her almost everywhere.

Triplets? or Where's Addie 7/365
The baby doll on the left has at times been mistaken as a real baby and it's really bad when we don't realize people think it is real and we are walking along swinging it by it's leg. I am usually very afraid to leave it in the car but secretly wish for a hidden camera so I could put it in a car seat with a blanket, park it at a convenience store and let the mayhem ensue, maybe leave the windows open or a door open.

A Twinkle in our Eyes 5/365
9 months ago Adelaide was little more than a twinkle in our eyes but we still loved her greatly, she was probably just a little bit bigger than a resident of Whoville.
